M8 Junction 15 | Masonry Repairs

Junction 15 (Baird Street)
23rd of August 2026, 8:00pm to 11th of September 2026, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential masonry repairs on the M8 at Junction 15 (Baird Street) from Sunday 23rd August until Friday 11th September 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. No works or traffic management will be in place on Saturdays.

This work will require the overnight closures of the M8 on slip westbound carriageway in this location. Traffic will be diverted via Springburn Road, Alexandra Parade, Castle Street, Royston Road and Viewpark Avenue to re-join the M8 westbound at the on slip.

On Monday 7th and Thursday 10th September, traffic will instead be diverted as follows:

Traffic for the on slip will be diverted via the A803, Castle Street, Royston Road, the A80 and the Junction 12 on slip.

Traffic for Springburn Road approaching J15 from the north will be diverted via Springburn Road, Royston Road, the A80 and the Junction 12 on slip.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway structure in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
