M8 at Junction 15 | Essential Masonry Repairs

Eastbound and Westbound at the Junction 15
11th of August 2025, 10:00pm to 8th of September 2025, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential masonry repairs on the M8 eastbound and westbound at the Junction 15 (Springburn), including the eastbound on and off-slips, from Monday 11th August until Monday 8th September 2025 between the hours of 10pm and 6am each night.

This work will be carried out as follows:

Monday 11th August – Saturday 16th August & Monday 18th August – Saturday 23rd August 2025: Overnight closures of the M8 eastbound Junction 15 on-slip. Traffic will be diverted via Springburn Road, Petershill Road, Turner Road, Cobden Road, the southbound A803 and Royston Road to join the M8 eastbound at the Castle Street on-slip.

Monday 25th August – Monday 1st September 2025: Overnight closures of the M8 eastbound Junction 15 off-slip. Traffic will be directed to follow the M8 eastbound to Viewpark Avenue and follow Blochairn Road, Royston Road, Baird Street and the Springburn Expressway, where this diversion will end. Overnight lane closures will also be in operation on the M8 eastbound carriageway.

Monday 1st September – Monday 8th September 2025: Overnight closures of the M8 westbound Junction 15 on-slip. Traffic will be diverted via Castle Street, Alexandra Parade, Viewpark Avenue and Alexandra Park Street to join the M8 westbound at the Junction 14 on-slip. The M8 Junction 15 westbound off-slip to Glebe Street will also be closed overnight during this time and traffic will be diverted via Castle Street and Glebe Street. Overnight lane closures will also be in operation on the M8 westbound carriageway.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structures.
