M8 Junction 15 Eastbound On-Slip | Resurfacing
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential carriageway resurfacing on the M8 Junction 15 eastbound on slip from Monday 21st September until Friday 25th September 2026. This work will take place overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
This work will require overnight total closures of the eastbound Junction 15 on slip from Castle Street and Springburn Road. Diversions will be in operation as follows:
Traffic wishing to use the Castle Street on slip from Castle Street northbound will be diverted via Royston Road, Blochairn Road, Provan Road and the Junction 13 eastbound on slip.
Traffic wishing to use the Castle Street on slip from Castle Street southbound will be diverted via Alexandra Parade, Cumbernauld Road, Provan Road and the Junction 13 eastbound on slip.
Traffic wishing to use the Springburn Road on slip will be directed to remain on Springburn Road and follow Baird Street, Royston Road, Blochairn Road, Provan Road and the Junction 13 eastbound on slip.
During this work, single lane closures will be in operation on the eastbound M8 between Junctions 16 and 14 and on Springburn Road. Two-way temporary traffic lights will also be in operation on Castle Street.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway.
