M8 Junction 12
20th of September 2026, 8:00pm to 26th of September 2026, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing works on the M8 at the Junction 12 westbound on slip (Cumbernauld Road) from Sunday 20th September until Saturday 26th September 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
During this time, total overnight closures of the M8 junction 12 westbound on slip will be required from Sunday 20th September to Thursday 24th September, as well as on Saturday 26th September 2026. Traffic will be diverted to continue southbound on Cumbernauld Road and follow Alexandra Parade and Alexandra Park Street to join the M8 at the Junction 14 westbound on slip. An additional travel time of 3 minutes is anticipated.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improved safety and greater efficiency on the carriageway
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
