M8 Eastbound at Junction 28 | Essential Patching
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential patching on the eastbound M8 Junction 28 on slip (Glasgow Airport) from Tuesday 7th July until Friday 10th July 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
This work will require three overnight closures of the eastbound M8 Junction 28 on slip. Traffic will be directed to continue on Sanderling Road under the M8, take the second exit at the roundabout to continue on Sanderling Parkway to St James Interchange roundabout and take the fourth exit to join the M8 eastbound.
Single lane closures will also be in operation on the roundabout at the entrance to Glasgow Airport and on the Caledonia Way West and St Andrew’s Drive approaches to the roundabout.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
