M8 Between Junction 4 and 3A | Overnight Roadworks

M8 Junction 4 and 3A
15th of April 2026, 8:30pm to 17th of April 2026, 6:00am

In order to undertake Traffic Loop recutting works, the M8 Eastbound between junctions 4 and 3a including Junction 4 on slip and Junction 3a off slip will be closed to all vehicular traffic from:  

Wednesday 15th April 2026 until Thursday 16th April 2026 (Between 2030hrs & 06:00).

Then M8 Westbound between Junctions 3a & 4 including Junction 3a on slip and Jct 4 off slip will be closed to all vehicular traffic from: 

Thursday 16th April 2026 until Friday 17th April 2026 (Between 2030hrs & 06:00).

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.

Diversion details:

Eastbound - Traffic will be directed to exit the M8 at Jct 4, take the A801 North to Boghead Rbt, take the 4th exit East on to the A7066 to Boghall Rbt taking the 4th exit onto the A779 continue to Starlaw East Rbt and take the 2nd exit to return to the M8 East at Jct 3a.
 

Westbound - Traffic will be directed to exit the M8 at Jct 3a, take the 1st exit at Starlaw West Rbt for the A779 North to Boghall Rbt. Take the 1st exit for the A7066 West and continue to Boghead Rbt, taking the 1st exit onto the A801 South to re-join the M8 Westbound at Jct 4.
