M8 Between Junction 11-13 | Essential Barrier Upgrades
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential barrier upgrades on the M8 between Junctions 11 and 13 from Sunday 1st February until Wednesday 4th February 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
This work will be completed under a series of lane closures on the M8 at this location. No total carriageway closures will be implemented.
Monday 1st February 2026: M8 between junctions 12-13 offside lane closures in both directions. Tuesday 2nd February 2026: M8 westbound between junctions 11-12 hard-shoulder and lane 1. Wednesday 3rd February 2026: M8 between junctions 11-12 offside lanes in both directions.
Thursday 4th February 2026: M8 westbound between junctions 11-12 hard-shoulder and off slip.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety of the carriageway in this location.
