M77 Newton Mearns | Resurfacing
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the M77 southbound at the Junction 4 (Newton Mearns) off slip from Friday 10th April until Wednesday 15th April 2026.
This work will require overnight closures of the off slip between 8pm and 6am each night, as well as a single day time closure between 6am and 8pm on Sunday 12th April. A signed diversion will be in operation.
Traffic travelling southbound will be directed to remain on the M77 and exit at Junction 5. They will then follow the A77 Ayr Road, Barrhead Road, Westacres Roundabout, B769 Stewarton Road and Crookfur Road, where this diversion will end.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
