M77 at Junction 1 | Essential Investigations
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential investigations on the M77, prior to Nithsdale Road, from Sunday 31st May until Wednesday 3rd June 2026.
This work will require an overnight closure of the M77 northbound carriageway between 8pm on Sunday 31st May and 6am on Monday 1st June, and an overnight closure of the M77 southbound carriageway between 8pm on Monday 1st June and 6am on Tuesday 2nd June 2026.
The M77 northbound will be closed between Junction 1 and Junction 22 of the M8.
Traffic will be diverted via the Junction 1 off slip, Mosspark Boulevard, the A761 and the B768 Dumbreck Road to join the M8 at the slip road.
Southbound traffic will take the above diversion in reverse.
On Wednesday 3rd June, daytime single lane closures managed by temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Nithsdale Road in both directions between 6am and 8pm.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by informing future improvement works in this area.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
