M74 Southbound Junction 10-11 | Resurfacing Works
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing on the southbound M74 between Junctions 10 and 11 from Monday 20th July until Friday 31st July 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night.
This work will require the overnight closures of the southbound M74 between Junctions 9 and 11, including the Junction 10 on slip.
Southbound M74 traffic will be directed to exit the M74 at Junction 9 and follow the B7078/Carlisle Road, Poniel Interchange, Millbank Interchange and re-join at the Junction 12 on slip.
Traffic wishing to use the Junction 10 on slip will be diverted via the B7078 to follow the above diversion and join the M74 southbound at Junction 12.
Overnight lane closures will be required on the M74 southbound between Junctions 5 and 6 during the same period.
Daytime closures will also be required on Tuesday 28th July between the hours of 6am and 8pm. During this period, traffic will be running on the hard shoulder and offside lane.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.
Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
