M74 Southbound Between Junctions 2A & 3 | Essential Resurfacing and Lining Works

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential resurfacing and lining works on the M74 southbound between Junctions 2A and 3 from Wednesday 30th September until Friday 2nd October 2026 This work will take place overnight between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
This work will require overnight closures of the southbound M74. During this time, traffic will be directed to exit the southbound M74 at the Junction 2A off slip and follow London Road and Carmyle Avenue to re-join the southbound M74 at the Junction 3 on slip.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety of the carriageway in this location.
