M74 Overbridge at Lesmahagow | Essential Barrier Replacements

B7018 overbridge on the M74
28th of September 2026, 8:00pm to 16th of October 2026, 6:00am
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential barrier replacements and bridge joint replacements on the B7018 overbridge on the M74, east of Lesmahagow, from Monday 28th September until Friday 16th October 2026.
From Monday 28th September until Friday 9th October, total closures will be in operation in this location. 
  • Southbound traffic will take this diversion route in reverse.
     
From Saturday 10th October until Friday 16th October, single lane closures managed by temporary traffic lights will be in operation in this location.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway structures in this location.
