M74 Northbound Link Road To The M73 at Maryville | Resurfacing Works

Road users are advised that the M74 northbound Link Road to the M73 northbound carriageway at Junction 4 Maryville will be closed overnight for ten nights, (excluding Saturday night), for essential road surfacing works, from 8pm to 6am the following day, as follows:


1.    Monday 18 May to Friday 22 May – 5 nights.
2.    Sunday 24 May to Thursday 28 May – 5 nights. 
 

As a result, the M74 northbound Junction 4 Maryville off slip road for Daldowie will also be closed.
 

A signed diversion route will be in place via the M74 northbound to Junction 2A Cambuslang (Fullarton Road), taking the fourth exit on roundabout to return to M74 southbound Junction 2A Fullarton on slip road, continue to M74 southbound to Junction 3A Daldowie or Junction 4 Maryville and taking the Link Road to M73 northbound to continue north (Stirling).
 

Road users are encouraged to plan ahead and check Traffic Scotland’s website prior to travelling at these times to check their route.
 

The diversion route will add an estimated 5.7 miles and 8 minutes to affected journeys via the M74 northbound  carriageway to Junction “a Cambuslang and back.  
 

There will be no access for emergency vehicles during these closures due to the depth of excavations required for the road surfacing works.
 

Road users are encouraged to plan ahead and check Traffic Scotland’s website prior to travelling to check their route. 
 

The works will be carried out by Scottish Road Partnership on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of this route. The works have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland and the emergency services.
 

Please note, all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
