M74 Northbound at Junction 2 | Essential Patching

Fullerton Road and Cambuslang Road
7th of July 2026, 8:00pm to 8th of July 2026, 6:00am

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential carriageway patching on the northbound M74 between the Junction 2A off slip (Fullerton Road) and the Junction 2 on slip (Cambuslang Road) from 8pm on Tuesday 7th July until 6am on Wednesday 8th July 2026.

This work will require a single overnight closure of the northbound M74 carriageway between the Junction 2A off slip and the Junction 2 on slip, as well as the Junction 2A on slip.

  • Traffic wishing to continue to travel north on the M74 will be directed to exit at the Junction 2A (Fullerton Road) off slip and follow Fullerton Interchange Roundabout, A74 London Road, Springfield Road, A749 Dalmarnock Road and Cambuslang Road to re-join the M74 at the Junction 2 on slip.

  • Traffic wishing to utilise the Junction 2A on slip will be directed to Fullerton Interchange Roundabout and should follow the above diversion.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety and condition of the carriageway in this location.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
