M74 Northbound Junction 10 Off-Slip | Safety Barrier Replacements

M74 Northbound Junction 10 Off-Slip
9th of November 2026, 8:00am to 29th of November 2026, 8:00pm

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking essential safety barrier replacements on Carlisle Road (B7078) at Wellburn Interchange, on the overbridge at Junction 10 of the M74 north of Lesmahagow, from Monday 9th November until Sunday 29th November 2026. The works will take place between the hours of 8am and 8pm each day under lane closures managed by 24-hour temporary traffic lights.

During the works the M74 northbound off-slip road at Junction 10 will be closed, with a signed diversion in place.

Northbound traffic should leave the M74 at Junction 8, turn right at the roundabout onto Swinhill Road and rejoin the M74 southbound at Junction 8. Traffic should then leave the motorway at the Junction 9 southbound off-slip and follow Carlisle Road (B7078) southbound to Wellburn Interchange, where the diversion ends.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

Road users are thanked for their patience and understanding while this work is being undertaken.
