M74 Kirkmuirhill | Barrier Replacement

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking an essential barrier replacement on the M74 overbridge at Vere Road, south of Kirkmuirhill, from Sunday 24th May until Saturday 13th June 2026 under a total 24-hour closure. Local access will be maintained.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.

This scheme will benefit vehicles using this route each day, by improving the safety of the carriageway in this location.
