M74 Junctions 12-10 | Tree Removal Works

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, is undertaking urgent removals of trees adjacent to the northbound M74 carriageway between Junctions 12 and 10 from Friday 20th February until Sunday 22nd February 2026 between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night under full carriageway closures.
Traffic will be directed to exit the M74 northbound at Junction 12 and follow the A7078 northbound to the Junction 10 on slip, where this diversion will end.
During this time, the Junction 11 northbound on slip and the Junction 10 off slip will also be closed. Traffic for the Junction 11 on slip will be diverted via the A7078. Traffic for the Junction 10 off slip will be directed to exit the M74 at Junction 8, return to the M74 southbound at exit at Junction 9 to follow the A7078.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
