Advance information on improvements to your electricity network

During the end of October, SP Energy Networks will be doing works at Swinhill Road Larkhall.

● We plan to input a new connection into a street lighting control pillar due to a previous RTA (Road traffic accident) on the A71 for Swinhill Rd.

●Throughout the duration of work no interruption to customer electricity supplies is expected

● These works are scheduled to commence on 29/10/2025, with works due to be complete by 31/10/2025.

•Traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of works managed by PMKwho are responsible for excavation and reinstatement of the works.

•This will reinforce the streetlighting network by providing an upgrade to supply.

•The M74 Southbound off-slip road at Junction 8 (SwinhillRoad) will be closed for the duration of these works. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
 

What to expect

You may experience an increased presence of our vehicles in your local area. At times we may also need to set up some temporary traffic control measures; the location of these measures will remain in the one location

We appreciate this work is likely to cause some inconvenience, but we can assure you that we will make every effort to programme the work carefully to keep any disruption to a minimum.
