Please be advised that works on the A8 between Woodhall Roundabout and Langbank Roundabout will pause during the Easter Weekend.

Works will then continue to follow the timeline outlined.

New Completion Date

Please note, ongoing VRS upgrades on the A8 between Woodhall and Langbank now have a revised completion date of Thursday 28th March 2024.

Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are undertaking essential VRS upgrades on the A8 between Woodhall Roundabout and Langbank Roundabout from Monday 22nd January and Friday 8th March 2024. Construction works will be undertaken during daylight hours.

This scheme will benefit around 28,000 vehicles using this route each day, by improving the condition of the carriageway and reducing the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.

The work will be carried out using 24hour offside lane closures and a temporary 50mph speed limit will be in place for the duration of the work. We thank road users for their patience and co-operation while this essential work takes place.

Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
