Scheme Extension
Issued: 8 March 2024

Due to weather conditions, this scheme has been extended and is now scheduled to be completed by Wednesday 13th March.

Amey is undertaking drainage improvements on the A90 near Crimond in Aberdeenshire from Monday the 26th February to Friday the 8th of March.

The £127,000 scheme, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will see the installation of new filter drain and pipe crossing to the east of Crimond, helping alleviate flooding on the A90 carriageway.

The work will take place from 600m east of Crimond after the access road to Bilbo Farm and will end 500m east of this at the next farm access road.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be undertaken under daytime single lane closures, initially on the southbound carriageway, then alternating between each carriageway for the pipe crossing installation to take place.

There will also be a need for a daytime convoy to allow for the reinstatement of the carriageway.

The work will take place onsite between 8am to 5pm on weekdays.
