Clyde Tunnel Northbound Overnight Closure | Glasgow City Council

Glasgow City Council will be carrying out essential roadworks on the A739 Clyde Tunnel Expressway Phase 4. The works start at 8pm on Monday 27th October 2025 and will finish at 6am on Tuesday 28th October 2025.

Location of Request: 

Northbound Clyde Tunnel Expressway – Total Closure – From Cardonald Interchange Roundabout to Moss Road

1)    Total closure of Eastbound M8 offslip to Northbound Clyde Tunnel Expressway (Jctn 25)
2)    Total Closure of Expressway Onslip at Shieldhall Road

Associated Closures: - M8 junction 25 slip lanes
                                    
Diversions:

1)    M8 Junction 24, Helen Street, Golspie Street, Govan Road, Moss Road
2)    Langlands Road, Drive Road, Govan Road, Moss Road
3)   Non M8 - Fifty Pitches Road, Sheildhall Road, Renfrew Road, Govan Road
