A96 Near Nairn and Forres | Overnight Woodland Mangement
Amey is undertaking essential woodland management at two locations on the A96 near Nairn and Forres from Monday 14th September until Friday 9th October.
The works, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will include the removal and maintenance of woodland that has encroached onto the carriageway verge.
The programme will help improve safety for road users and roadworkers while enhancing the health and appearance of the surrounding woodland.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the works will be carried out under temporary traffic lights between 7.30pm and 6.30am on Monday to Thursday nights.
The overnight lane closures will move between the following locations as work progresses:
Monday 14th September to Friday 25th September
A96 west of Nairn, from approximately 800 metres west of Nairn to 750 metres east of Brackley.
Monday 28th September to Friday 9th October
A96 east of Forres, between Kinloss and approximately 2km east of Alves.
Please note that all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.
