A96 at Inverurie | Road safety improvements
Amey is undertaking road safety improvements on the A96 between the River Don and Blackhall Roundabout in Inverurie from Monday 11th August to Friday 22nd August.
The work, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will include the replacement of all manhole covers and improvement of drainage pipework at the northbound layby location. This will improve maintenance access and ensure sufficient surface water drainage, benefitting over 18,759 daily road users.
Works will take place each day from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Works will be carried out under lane closures, with two way traffic signal controls. When works are taking place on the northbound verge, the northbound lane will be closed; similarly, the southbound lane will be closed during southbound verge works.
The layby located on the northbound carriageway will be closed 24/7 throughout the works to allow for new drainage installation.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
