Haughs Bridge Near Keith
9th of November 2026, 9:30am to 13th of November 2026, 3:30pm

Amey is set to carry out survey work at Haughs Bridge on the A96, north of Keith, between Monday 9th November and Friday 13th November.

The surveys, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will gather data on the carriageway and surrounding areas to help inform plans for repairs to the structure. The information will also support the development of potential measures to improve safety and reduce the risk of future collisions.

The structure, which crosses the Burn of Haughs near where the A95 and A96 converge, was damaged after its parapet was struck by an errant vehicle in October 2025.

A safety barrier was subsequently installed as a temporary measure, alongside a reduced speed limit of 30mph to help maintain the safety of road users.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the survey work will be undertaken using three-way temporary traffic lights between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

Survey work in the surrounding area will take place between 8am and 5pm, with the temporary traffic lights only required between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Please note that all works are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable.
