A96 Between Inverurie And Kintore | Drainage Improvements

Inverurie And Kintore
10th of March 2026, 7:30pm to 15th of May 2026, 6:30am

Amey is currently undertaking overnight drainage improvements on the A96 between Inverurie and Kintore in Aberdeenshire until Friday 15th May.

The £550,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will take place on the A96 between Port Elphinstone and Broomhill Roundabout.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight lane restrictions on the A96 in both directions between 7.30pm and 6.30am on weekdays only.

The essential works will increase overall safety and reduce flooding on the carriageway for more than 26,800 motorists who use this route each day.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
