A95 North of Drumuillie | Overnight Surfacing Improvements

North of Drumuillie
1st of June 2025, 7:30pm to 20th of June 2025, 6:30am

Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A95 to the north of Drumuillie between Sunday 1st June and Friday 20th June.

The £348,000 scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will resurface approximately 896 metres of the A95 carriageway.

Work will take place between 100 metres south of Gartenbeg/Garten House/Balnafoich and 420 metres south of Tullochgorum Lodge.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, and to minimise disruption to road users and the community, the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight closures between 7.30pm and 6.30am each night. There will be no overnight works on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th June, and Friday 13th and Saturday 14th June.

The following diversion will be in place during the overnight road closures.

Southbound traffic can leave the A95 at Dulnain Bridge, turning right onto the A938 and continuing to Carrbridge then turning left onto the B9153 and rejoining the A95 at Kinveachy. Northbound traffic can take the route in reverse.

In addition, amnesties to allow traffic through the works area will be available at 8.30pm, 9.30pm, 10.30pm, 11.30pm, 1.30am, 3am and 5am each night. Please note that traffic will be allowed through one direction at a time so delays are possible.

All traffic management is scheduled to be removed by 6.30am on Friday 20th June.

The resurfacing will benefit more than 4,500 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
