A95 At Maggieknockater | Essential Tree Removal

A95 Moray
2nd of November 2025, 8:00am to 2nd of November 2025, 4:00pm

Amey is undertaking essential tree removal work at the hamlet of Maggieknockater on the A95 in Moray on Sunday 2nd November.

The work, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will remove a dead tree next to McLean’s Garage in Maggieknockater.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists there will be a daytime road closure of the A95 in both directions at this location between 8am and 4pm.

The following diversion route will be in place during the closure.

Eastbound traffic on the A95 can take the A96 at Keith and follow the route to Elgin. Traffic can continue on East Road and Alexandra Road in Elgin, then take Northbound Terrace to join the A941. They can then follow the A941 to its junction for Craigellachie/Keith to gain access to the A95. Westbound traffic can follow this route in reverse.

Every effort will be made to lift the closure as soon as possible following removal of the tree to minimise disruption.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
