A92 Tullis Russell Roundabout and Tofthill | Resurfacing

A92 Tullis Russell Roundabout and Tofthill
29th of August 2025, 7:30pm to 17th of September 2025, 6:00am

Amey is undertaking resurfacing works on the A92 in Glenrothes, between Tullis Russell Roundabout and Tofthill, from Friday 29th August to Wednesday 17th September.

The £383,533 worth of improvements, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, includes resurfacing to improve surface for a smoother ride and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance for over 14,250 daily road users.

Work will take place overnight between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures.

For diversions, A92 northbound through traffic will leave the A92 at Bankhead Roundabout, taking the first exit onto the B921 and continuing across Stenton Roundabout to take the third exit at Southfield Roundabout onto the B969 and following north to rejoin the A92. Southbound traffic will take the route in reverse. This adds an additional 3 minutes to journey time.

Cadham Road will be closed at its junction with the A92, with traffic joining the above diversion. There will be 2 additional minutes journey time northbound and 5 additional minutes southbound.

Traffic will be unable to join the southbound A92 from the Tofthill road and instead will turn right then left onto the B969 and follow the above diversion which adds an additional 3 minutes to journey time.

Traffic joining the A92 at Preston Roundabout will take the A911 Queensway to the B969 and follow the above diversion, with southbound traffic following this route in reverse. This will add 3 additional minutes journey time.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
