A92 North of Stonehaven | Drainage Improvements
Amey is carrying out drainage improvements on the A92 to the north of Stonehaven from Monday 14th September to Friday 25th September.
The £130,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will improve drainage and safety on approximately 500 metres of the A92 at a location around one kilometre north of Stonehaven near the slip roads to the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR),
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under lane one restrictions on the A92 northbound between 9.30am and 3.30pm on weekdays only.
Lane restrictions will begin just before the slip roads at the AWPR, with both slip roads remaining open throughout the works.
The improvements will reduce standing water on the carriageway, enhance driving conditions and help maintain a safer and more reliable route for the more than 19,300 motorists who travel this section of the A92 each day.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
