A92 Near A913 Junction for Cupar | Resurfacing

Temporary Traffic Lights (08/12/2025)

Further work will now take place as follows in order to complete the drainage improvements after a previous discovery of historic bridge foundations delayed work.

Work will take place under four-way temporary traffic lights at the A92/A913 junction between 9.30am and 3.30pm on the following weekdays:

Monday 8th to Friday 12th December.

Monday 15th to Friday 19th December.

EXTRA NIGHT OF WORK: Resurfacing on the A92 in North East Fife near the A913 junction for Cupar.

Please be advised that, due to operational requirements, an additional overnight closure will be required to complete resurfacing works on the A92.

There will be a further overnight road closure between south of the A913 junction and the Collairnie/Ayton junction on Friday 7th November from 7.30pm to 6.30am.

Northbound traffic can take the A91 at Melville Lodges Roundabout towards Cupar. When they reach Cupar they can turn left at the A913 Balgarvie Road towards Newburgh and follow this route reach the A913 junction with the A92.

Southbound traffic can take the A913 south towards Cupar and then turn right onto the A91 towards Kincardine Bridge. Traffic can then continue on the A91 and rejoin the A92 at Melville Lodges Roundabout.

Amey is undertaking surfacing improvements on the A92 in North East Fife near the A913 junction for Cupar from Tuesday 28th October to Friday 31st October.

The essential maintenance, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will resurface approximately 660 metres of the A92 carriageway to the south of the A913 junction for Cupar.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures, from 7.30pm to 6.30am, between south of the A913 junction and the Collairnie/Ayton junction.

Additionally, daytime temporary traffic lights will be in operation on Wednesday 29th October and Thursday 30th October between 6.30am and 7.30pm to allow for deeper sections of treatment to cool.

All work is scheduled to be completed by 6.30am on Friday 31st October.

The following diversion routes will be in place each night during the road closures.

Northbound traffic can take the A91 at Melville Lodges Roundabout towards Cupar. When they reach Cupar they can turn left at the A913 Balgarvie Road towards Newburgh and follow this route reach the A913 junction with the A92.

Southbound traffic can take the A913 south towards Cupar and then turn right onto the A91 towards Kincardine Bridge. Traffic can then continue on the A91 and rejoin the A92 at Melville Lodges Roundabout.

The diversion route will require seven minutes additional journey time.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
