A92 Five Roads Roundabout And Parbroath Junction | Road Safety Improvements
Amey is undertaking overnight road safety improvements on approximately 12 kilometres of the A92 in North East Fife from Monday 16th March to Friday 17th April.
The £880,000 scheme, which Amey is delivering on behalf of Transport Scotland, will take place between Five Roads Roundabout and Parbroath Junction.
The work will deliver road stud and road marking upgrades on 12 kilometres of the A92, improving road safety for more than 6,300 road users who use the route on a daily basis.
Work will also be undertaken to upgrade road signage at three separate locations on this route.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be carried out under overnight road closures in both directions between Five Roads Roundabout and Parbroath Junction from 9pm to 6am on weeknights.
Local access will be maintained for residents near the Parbroath Junction side of the closure, with residents escorted through the works for their own safety.
The following diversion route will be in place during the overnight closures.
A92 northbound traffic can exit the A92 at Parbroath Junction, taking the A913 towards Cupar and following the route to its junction with the A91. Turning left onto the A91 traffic can then continue on the route to Guardbridge. At Guardbridge Roundabout they can take the first exit onto the A919 towards Leuchars/Newport/Tay Bridge and continue on the route onto the A914 for Dundee/Newport to rejoin the A92 at Forgan Roundabout. A92 southbound traffic can follow the above route in reverse.
Unfortunately, some construction noise will occur during these works and Amey is working to programme operations to minimise any disturbance as much as possible.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
