A92 Between Tay Road Bridge and Glenrothes | Road Safety Improvements

A92 Between Tay Road Bridge and Glenrothes
13th of July 2026, 7:30pm to 12th of August 2026, 6:30am

Amey is undertaking overnight work to refurbish road linings and studs along the sections of the A92 between Tay Road Bridge and Glenrothes from Monday 13th July to Wednesday 12th August.

The £250,000 scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will enhance line and road visibility for nearly 7,500 motorists who travel this route each day, helping to improve safety for all road users.

The works will be undertaken in phases, moving progressively along the route between the Tay Road Bridge and Glenrothes. Road users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional travel time where necessary.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, a combination of overnight road closures, signed diversion routes and convoy working will be required between 7.30pm and 6.30am on Monday to Friday nights.
