A92 Between Newtonhill and Portlethen | Woodland Maintenance

A92 Between Newtonhill and Portlethen
29th of September 2025, 12:00am to 18th of October 2025, 6:00am

Amey is undertaking essential woodland management on the A92 between Newtonhill and Portlethen in Aberdeenshire from Monday 29th September to Saturday 18th October.

Work is taking place to trim and remove areas of woodland adjacent to the A92 for the safety of the travelling public and to improve driver visibility.

Traffic management will be place between 0.2km before Newtonhill to 0.4km past Portlethen on approximately 6.3km of the A92.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under 24/7 lane restrictions on lane 1 of both the north and southbound carriageways.

The A92 northbound off slip at Portlethen to Badentoy Road will be closed overnight on Friday 10th October from 7.30pm to 6am.

Northbound traffic can continue on the A92 northbound and take the next off slip for Portlethen/Maarywll/Findon. They can then use the junction to turn and access the A92 southbound, before exiting at the off slip for Portlethen Shopping Centre/Badentoy Park.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
