A92 Bankhead Roundabout | Overnight Drainage Improvements
Amey is carrying out overnight drainage improvements on the A92 at Bankhead Roundabout in Glenrothes from Monday 29th June to Friday 28th August.
The £350,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will improve drainage and safety in the area.
Works will take place on the A92, approximately 800 metres on either side of the roundabout.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight weekday lane restrictions, between 7.30pm and 6.30am.
Details of the lane restrictions are as follows:
There will be single lane restrictions on the A92 in both directions to and from Kirkcaldy, on the A92 in both directions to and from Preston Roundabout (for approximately 800 metres in either direction), as well as Bankhead Roundabout itself.
Single lane restriction on Kinglassie Road approach to the roundabout.
Left filter lanes closed on B921 and Woodside Way approaches.
No restrictions on James Watt Avenue or Beaufort Drive.
These works will improve safety and increase the efficiency of the filter drains for more than 32,000 road users who use this route each day.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
