Amey is undertaking drainage improvements on sections of the A92 in Aberdeenshire from Monday 9th February to Friday 27th March.
The project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will take place between north of the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR) junction and Muchalls.
Work will be undertaken to renew filter stone on approximately 950 metres of the A92 to the north of the A90 northbound on slip, and also to renew the filter drain on approximately 1040 metres of the A92 from Muchalls to Bridge of Muchalls.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under lane restrictions on the A92 as follows:
- Monday 9th February to Tuesday 10th Febuary (7.30am to 6.30pm): On the A92 northbound carriageway from the A90 northbound on slip to 1.2km north of the on slip.
- Wednesday 11th February to Friday 13th Febuary (7.30am to 6.30pm): On the A92 northbound and southbound carriageways from 0.3km south of Bridge of Muchalls to 0.6km south of Muchalls.
- Monday 16th February to Friday 27th March (24/7): On the A92 northbound and southbound carriageways from 0.3km south of Bridge of Muchalls to 0.6km south of Muchalls.
The essential works will increase overall safety and reduce flooding on the carriageway for more than 19,000 motorists who use this route each day.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
