A90 Off-Slip At Laurencekirk | Overnight Resurfacing Works

Laurencekirk
2nd of July 2026, 7:30pm to 4th of July 2026, 6:30am

Amey is undertaking overnight surfacing improvements on the A90 northbound offslip at Laurencekirk between Thursday 2nd July and Saturday 4th July.

The project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will address defects within the deceleration lane of the Garvock Road junction.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential works will take place under overnight lane restrictions between 7.30pm and 6.30am of lane one and the deceleration lane to the Garvock Road junction.

The following signed diversion will be in place:

Northbound:
A signed diversion will be in place at the A937, providing south access to Laurencekirk. If this is missed, there will be a signed diversion further northbound at the A937, providing northern access to Laurencekirk.

Southbound:
A signed diversion will be in place at the Dunnottar southbound off slip and via the A92. If this is missed, there will be a further signed diversion at B9120 to allow traffic to head north via the A92.

The resurfacing will benefit more than 19,000 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.

All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
