17th of November 2025, 7:30pm to 12th of December 2025, 3:30pm

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be undertaken using initially overnight road closures of the A90 followed by daytime temporary traffic lights.

Overnight road closures will be in place between Monday 17th November and Friday 28th November from 7.30pm to 6.30am.

Daytime temporary traffic lights will then be in place between Monday 1st December and Friday 12th December from 9.30am to 3.30pm.

The following diversion route will be in place during the overnight road closures.

Northbound traffic can leave the A90 at Howe o’Buchan Roundabout at Peterhead by taking the first left onto the A950 Longside Road and follow the route as far as Mintlaw.

Traffic can then turn right at The Square onto the A952 North Street and proceed northbound to re-join the A90 at Cortes Junction. Southbound traffic can follow the same route in reverse.

The improvements will benefit more than 7,000 vehicles who use this route each day.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
