The A90 is set to benefit from £645,000 worth of upgrades that will include VRS Replacement, from A85 Swallow Roundabout to Longforgan off slip.

Amey is undertaking a £645,000 project delivering road safety improvements on the A90 between Swallow Roundabout in Dundee and Longforgan from Sunday 21st April to Friday 31st May.

The scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver new and improved vehicle safety barriers on 1.3km of the A90.

Work will begin from approximately 800 metres west of Swallow Roundabout and extend west to the Longforgan A90 off slip.

To minimise disruption to the travelling public the work to upgrade the barrier restraint system will take place overnight between 7.30pm to 6.30am from Sunday to Thursday each week.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists there will be offside lane closures in both westbound and eastbound directions, with convoy working also in operation on the westbound side.

Traffic management will be lifted each morning at 6.30am before being put back in place each night at 7.30pm.

These upgrades will benefit more than 32,000 vehicles who use this route each day.

Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
