A90 Kingsway Dundee | Overnight Slip Road Closure

Amey is undertaking overnight investigation works on the A90 Kingsway in Dundee on Wednesday 24th September and Thursday 25th September ahead of planned resurfacing of the trunk road.

The preparatory works, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, are in advance of the resurfacing scheme scheduled to take place on the A90 Kingsway between the A923 Coupar Angus off slip and Strathmartine Road from Sunday 5th October to Monday 20th October under a contraflow system.

The preparatory works will include essential GPR Investigations (Ground Penetrating Radar) and trial pits to confirm the location of existing services.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the preparatory works will take place under lane closures and slip road closures on the A90 Kingsway northbound.

The traffic management will be in place from 7.30pm to 6.30am each night as follows:

Wednesday 24th September:

Lane 1 closures on the A90 Kingsway northbound starting just beyond the A923 Coupar Angus off slip and finishing prior to the McAlpine Road on slip.
Closure of Coupar Angus Road northbound on slip.
Diversion route: Traffic looking to exit the A90 northbound will be diverted southbound on the A90 Kingsway to Myrekirk Roundabout where they can turn and return northbound.

Closure of A90 McAlpine Road northbound off slip.
Diversion route: Traffic can continue on the A90 Kingsway to Strathmartine Roundabout where they can turn and return southbound to exit at the McAlpine Road southbound off slip.

Thursday 25th September:

Lane 1 closures on the A90 Kingsway northbound starting just beyond the A923 Coupar Angus off slip and finishing prior to Charlotte Street.
Closure of Coupar Angus northbound on slip and McAlpine Road northbound on slip.
Diversion route: Traffic looking to exit the A90 northbound at both on slips will be diverted southbound on the A90 Kingsway to Myrekirk Roundabout where they can turn and return northbound.

Closure of A90 McAlpine Road northbound off slip.
Diversion route: Traffic can continue on the A90 Kingsway to Strathmartine Roundabout where they can turn and return southbound to exit at the MacAlpine Road southbound off slip.
