A90 Invernettie Roundabout | Resurfacing Works

Amey is undertaking overnight resurfacing on Invernettie Roundabout at Peterhead, and on a section of the A90 immediately south of the roundabout, between Sunday 23rd August and Friday 4th September.

The £320,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will resurface all of Invernettie Roundabout and approximately 650 metres of the A90 south of the roundabout.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, the essential maintenance will be carried out under overnight road closures of half of Invernettie Roundabout at a time, with traffic diverted around the other half.

Traffic will be controlled across the roundabout using a convoy system.

Sunday 23rd August to Friday 4th September (Final closures lifted by 6am on Saturday 5th September)

Overnight works will take place between 8pm and 6am each night.
There will be no overnight work on Friday 28th August and Saturday 29th August.
 

Further traffic management arrangements

The A90 Peterhead Bypass (between Invernettie Roundabout and South Howe o' Buchan Roundabout) and South Base Road approaches and exits will also be closed overnight, with signed diversion routes in place.
A separate local diversion will be available for traffic using South Base Road.
Access to Buchan Way will be closed for two nights (Monday 31st August and Tuesday 1st September) during the programme to allow resurfacing through the junction.

Please be aware that there may be delays of up to five minutes when the overnight convoy is in place.

Recognising the importance of maintaining access for local businesses, Amey has undertaken engagement with affected organisations and put measures in place to minimise disruption.

The resurfacing will benefit more than 7,400 vehicles who use this route each day, creating a smoother ride for motorists and reducing the need for ongoing maintenance.
