A90 Between Finavon and Brechin |Essential Maintenance
Amey is undertaking road safety improvements on the A90 between Finavon and Brechin from Monday 26th January to Tuesday 24th February.
The essential maintenance, which Amey is delivering on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver new vehicle safety barriers on the nearside lane of both the north and southbound carriageways of the A90.
Work will take place between the on slip to the A90 at Peggy Scott’s restaurant and the A935 St. Ann’s junction at Brechin.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will be undertaken under 24/7 lane 1 restrictions on each carriageway at rolling locations as follows:
Monday 26th January to Tuesday 3rd February (weekdays only): Lane 1 restriction southbound between St Anns Interchange and Balnabriech Junction.
Tuesday 3rd to Friday 6th February: Lane 1 restriction southbound between approx. 1.4km north of Finavon and Finavon itself.
Monday 9th to Tuesday 24th February (weekdays only): Lane 1 restriction northbound between Finavon and Waterston Road.
A 50mph speed limit will be in place 24/7 at each location while work is taking place due to the need for a temporary vehicle restraint system.
The improvements will benefit more than 21,500 vehicles who use this route each day.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
