A90 between Dundee and Stonehaven | Road Lining

Amey is carrying out overnight road lining and stud improvements at various locations on the A90 between Dundee and Stonehaven from Tuesday 29th September to Thursday 12th November.

The £700,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will renew road markings and studs along the route, significantly improving visibility and enhancing safety for all road users.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be carried out under a rolling programme of overnight work between 7.30pm and 6.30am including temporary traffic lights, convoy working and road closures.

The essential works will be carried out under the following programme:

A90 Gateside SB Offslip Diversion
Traffic will be diverted Southbound to Emmock Rbt, where traffic will use Emmock Rbt to gain access onto the A90 Northbound, continuing Northbound for Gateside, traffic will be able to use Gateside Northbound Offlsip to resume their normal travel.

A90 Gateside SB Onslip Diversion
Traffic wishing to use the A90 Gateside Southbound On slip will be diverted via Gate side Rd, under the underpass for the Northbound carriageway, continuing Northbound and exiting the NB Offlsip for the B9127, continuing under the underpass for the B9127 Southbound Onslip where normal Southbound travel will resume.

These works will improve the visibility and reflectivity of road markings, enhancing safety for the more than 22,000 motorists who use this route each day.
