A90 Between Dundee and Petterden | Road Safety Upgrade
Amey is currently undertaking overnight road safety upgrades on 3.8 miles of the A90 between Dundee and Petterden until Saturday 13th December.
The £125,000 scheme, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver new vehicle safety barriers, new signage, upgrades to uncontrolled crossings at Inveraldie and Tealing, and landscaping works.
The essential maintenance will take place between Emmock Roundabout in Dundee and the A928 junction at Petterden.
To minimise disruption to the travelling public the work will take place overnight between 9pm and 6am on weekdays only.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the essential maintenance will be undertaken using single lane restrictions on each carriageway at rolling locations on the A90 as work progresses. A 50mph speed limit will be in place.
Unfortunately, some construction noise will occur during these works and Amey is working to programme operations to minimise any disturbance as much as possible.
The improvements will benefit approximately 20,900 vehicles who use this route each day.
Please note, all schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
