A9 Tomatin To Moy | Temporary Traffic Signals And a Lane Closure For Two Days

Tomatin/Moy
5th of May 2026, 7:30am to 7th of May 2026, 5:00am

Road users are advised of temporary traffic signals and a short 140 metre long lane closure on the A9 from 7:30am on Tuesday 5 May until 05:00am on Thursday 7 May 2026, 100 metres north of the temporary roundabout at Invereen, to facilitate duct crossing works underneath the A9 carriageway.

The temporary traffic signals will be in place from Tuesday 5 May and remain in place for 24 hours a day until 05:00 on Thursday 7 May. This is to allow operatives to safely carry out these essential works underneath the A9 carriageway.

These works, and the associated traffic management measures are essential to ensure the safety of both road users and the workforce, as activities will be carried out close to live traffic on the A9.

A map showing the location of these works is provided below.

Tomatin and Moy Roadworks

The temporary traffic signals will be manually operated at all times to manage traffic flows and to reduce disruption.

Short delays are anticipated and road users are advised to plan ahead. Pedestrian and emergency access will be maintained at all times. There will be no impact to the National Cycle Network 7 route.

Please note that these dates may change depending on weather conditions. For the most up to date information, visit: A9dualling.scot/a9-dualling/roadworks.
