A9 South of Broxden Roundabout | Surfacing Improvements
Amey is undertaking surfacing improvements on the A9 southbound travelling between Broxden Roundabout at Perth and Stirling from Monday 4th May to Sunday 24th May.
The work, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will deliver two essential maintenance schemes near Lamberkine Woods and Tibbermore Junction which will resurface a combined 1,700 metres of the A9 southbound carriageway.
The two schemes are being carried out together to minimise overall disruption to the travelling public.
Work will initially be undertaken on 460 metres of the A9 southbound carriageway from approximately 1,460 metres south of Broxden Roundabout.
Work will then be undertaken on approximately 1,230 metres of the A9 southbound carriageway from 295 metres prior to Tibbermore junction to 935 metres past the junction.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists the work will take place under a contraflow system between Broxden Roundabout and Cairnie Braes.
There will be lane restrictions in place between 7.30pm on Monday 4th May and 7.30pm on Tuesday 5th May to set up the contraflow.
The contraflow will then be in place between 7.30pm on Tuesday 5th May and 7.30pm on Saturday 23rd May.
There will also be further lane restrictions between 7.30pm on Saturday 23rd May and 7.30pm on Sunday 24th May to stand down the contraflow.
Please be aware that there may be delays of up to three minutes in each direction when the contraflow is in place.
All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
