A9 South of Braco in Perth and Kinross | Overnight Drainage Works

A9 South of Braco
24th of August 2026, 7:30pm to 5th of September 2026, 6:30am

Amey is undertaking overnight drainage upgrades on the A9 southbound at Blueton Farm from Monday 24th August to Friday 28th August. Further works will take place on the northbound carriageway from north of Greenloaning to Williamsfield Farm from Monday 31st August to Friday 4th September.

The £90,000 project, which Amey is undertaking on behalf of Transport Scotland, will improve drainage on the carriageway and reduce the need for ongoing maintenance.

To ensure the safety of road workers and motorists, the works will be carried out under overnight lane one restrictions between 7.30pm and 6.30am.

Following the completion of earlier works at the site, additional investigations were required before the drainage improvements could proceed. The works have been coordinated across both carriageways to minimise disruption.

The essential works will improve safety for more than 26,000 motorists who use the routes each day.

All schemes are weather dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable.
