A9 Raigmore South Bridge | Bridge Maintenance
BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are set to carry out essential maintenance on the Raigmore South Bridge which carries the A9 over Raigmore Interchange.
Works will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night from and are expected to be completed by Friday 24 October.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, the A9 northbound carriageway will be closed for the duration of the works. Outwith working hours, the road will be open as normal to minimise disruption.
Signs will be in place to redirect northbound traffic onto Raigmore Interchange then back onto the A9, adding two minutes to journey times.
Access for emergency services and scheduled bus services will be maintained for the full duration of the works.
Consultation has taken place with all relevant stakeholders in advance of the resurfacing improvements to make them aware of the traffic management arrangements.
Euan Scott, BEAR Scotland’s North West Representative said: “This project on the A9 Raigmore South Bridge will involve essential expansion joint repair and drainage improvements to keep the trunk road in good working order.
“Our teams will carry out these works quickly, with safety as our top priority. We thank road users for their patience while we complete the improvements.”
