A9 at Pitlochry North Junction | Undertrack Drainage Crossings Installation

Pitlochry North Junction
6th of November 2026, 5:00pm to 9th of November 2026, 8:00am

Road users are advised that to support the ongoing works by Network Rail to install undertrack drainage crossings associated with the A9 Dualling: Pitlochry to Killiecrankie project, the southbound on-slip road to the A9 at the Pitlochry north junction will be closed from 5pm on Friday 6 November until 8am on Monday 9 November 2026.

During this period, a signed diversion route will be in place. Road users wishing to join the A9 southbound will be directed through Pitlochry, travelling south before rejoining the A9 at the next available southbound access point.

Please allow additional time for journeys during the closure period.

Minimising Disruption

While some disturbance is unavoidable due to the nature of the works, every effort will be made to minimise impacts on local communities and road users. Site teams will work considerately and implement measures to maintain safety throughout the works.

Liaison has been undertaken with Perth & Kinross Council, Police Scotland, BEAR Scotland and Enchanted Forest regarding these works and we have selected the timings to minimise disruption as far as possible during these works.

These dates may change depending on weather conditions.
