A9 Pitlochry to Killiecrankie | Overnight traffic management

Overnight temporary traffic management and speed restrictions will be in operation on the A9 to construct improvements to the existing Faskally Forest access located north of Pitlochry.

Road users are advised that temporary traffic signals will be in operation each evening from 19:00 on Monday 13th April and end the following morning at 07:00. The temporary traffic signals will cease on Friday 24th April at 07:00.

A 30mph speed limit will also be in place from 19:00 on Monday 13th April to Friday 24th April over the extent of the work.

The speed restriction and traffic signals will allow construction of improvement works to the existing Faskally Forest access to safely take place adjacent to the A9 carriageway. The improvement works will assist with tree felling works to be undertaken ahead of the Pitlochry to Killiecrankie main construction works, which are currently in procurement.

These works, and the associated traffic management measures, are essential to ensure the safety of both road users and the workforce, as activities will be carried out close to live traffic on the A9.

Works have been planned overnight to minimise disruption to A9 road users, and the signals will be manned at all times to help manage traffic flow and minimise disruption.

Pedestrian and emergency service access will be maintained at all times.
