A9 North of Evanton Junction | Overnight Resurfacing
UPDATE (12/01/2026): Overnight resurfacing on the A9 north of Evanton Junction were paused before the Christmas break due to poor weather conditions. Works will resume on Tuesday 27 January.
UPDATE (15/12/2025): Due to recent poor weather conditions impacting progress, overnight resurfacing on the A9 north of Evanton Junction has now been paused. Works will resume in January 2026 with dates confirmed nearer the time.
UPDATE (09/12/2025): Due to poor weather associated with Storm Bram, overnight resurfacing on the A9 north of Evanton Junction will not go ahead tonight (Tuesday 9 December).
UPDATE (27/11/2025): Due to poor weather affecting the programme of works, overnight resurfacing on the A9 north of Evanton Junction will now start on Sunday 7 December.
UPDATE (21/11/2025): Due to poor weather affecting the programme of works, overnight resurfacing on the A9 north of Evanton Junction will now start on Wednesday 3 December
UPDATE (14/11/2025): Due to poor weather affecting the programme of works, overnight resurfacing on the A9 north of Evanton Junction will now start on Monday 1 December.
On behalf of Transport Scotland, BEAR Scotland will be carrying out essential surface improvements on the A9 north of Evanton Junction, with works set to commence on Tuesday 27 January.
Works will be carried out between 8pm and 6am each working night until the morning of Wednesday 4 February. No works will be undertaken on Friday or Saturday nights.
To ensure the safety of both workers and road users, overnight lane closures will be in place with a convoy system to safely escort traffic through the work site.
Access through the works site for emergency services will be maintained at all times.

“To minimise delays, we recommend that motorists plan their journeys in advance by consulting the Traffic Scotland website for real-time travel updates.”
